Goodman LaFon is committed to providing every client with museum-quality services and excellent customer care. We specialize in the research, analysis, and conservation of paintings, painted surfaces, and frames, but we are also capable of consulting on a variety of objects. We are passionate about serving all types of art-owners including members of the public, private collectors, galleries, and museums, and we are interested to hear about any and all of your artworks, whether they are prominent or obscure, historically significant or sentimental. 

 

All conservation work is performed in accordance with the Code of Ethics published by the American Institute for Conservation. Goodman LaFon is a Michigan limited liability company.

Becca Gooman

Becca Goodman is a paintings conservator.

She previously worked as a Project Conservator and Samuel H. Kress Fellow in Paintings Conservation at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Further conservation experience includes volunteer positions and internships at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Walters Art Museum in Maryland, the Baltimore Museum of Art in Maryland, and the International Platform for Art Research and Conservation in Brussels, Belgium.

 

Becca earned a Master of Arts degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in art conservation from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. She holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees in art history and studio art from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Adam LaFon is an artist and toolmaker.

With a background in manufacturing and the arts, Adam specializes in niche toolmaking for artists, conservators, and craftspeople.

Adam has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.
